The Crayfish Tradition
Based on the Nordic culture of having a good time while eating seafood and drinking snaps, the first crayfish party was held in 1997 with crayfish flown in from Sweden. With emphasis on keeping it as authentic Nordic as possible and with its unique style and semi casual atmosphere it has turned out to be a great success.
It has live music, dancing, raffle, auctions and singing and takes place at one of the big hotels in Jakarta. It attracts both locals and people from the international expatriate community every year.
The party is Nordic Club's biggest single fund raising event, with sponsors from the Nordic business communities as well as businesses in the city.
